Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is an important national campaign launched by the Government of India to make the country clean and healthy. It was officially started on 2nd October 2014 on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, who always dreamed of a clean India. The main aim of this mission is to promote cleanliness, improve sanitation facilities, and eliminate open defecation across the country. Cleanliness is not only the responsibility of the government but also of every citizen. If we keep our homes, streets, schools, and surroundings clean, we can prevent many diseases. Poor hygiene can lead to serious illnesses like dengue, malaria, and other infections. Therefore, maintaining cleanliness is very important for a healthy life. Under this campaign, many public toilets have been built, waste management systems have been improved, and awareness programs have been conducted to encourage people to use dustbins and avoid littering. If every individual contributes a little effort every day, India can become a cleaner and greener nation. Swachh Bharat is not just a mission but a shared responsibility. A clean India leads to a healthy and strong India.
